Located in the heart of Teton Village at the base of the iconic Bridger Gondola, Cody House is one of the area's most recognizable luxury mountain properties. Its premier slopeside location demands a roofing system that not only complements the architecture of Jackson Hole but also withstands Wyoming's harsh alpine climate. Cody House sits just steps from the Bridger Gondola, offering true ski-in/ski-out access in one of the most sought-after locations at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
MD Roofing was selected to complete a full roof replacement using DaVinci Roofscapes premium synthetic shake, providing the timeless appearance of natural cedar shake while delivering substantially greater durability, fire resistance, and long-term performance.
A Roofing System Designed for Mountain LivingRoofs in Teton Village face some of the most demanding weather conditions in the Rocky Mountains. Heavy snowfall, freeze-thaw cycles, intense UV exposure at high elevation, and strong alpine winds all contribute to accelerated wear on traditional roofing materials.
DaVinci synthetic shake was chosen because it offers:
  • Authentic hand-split cedar appearance
  • Class A fire rating
  • Class 4 impact resistance
  • Exceptional resistance to cracking, splitting, and rot
  • Minimal maintenance compared to natural wood shake
  • Long-lasting color and curb appeal
For luxury homes and condominiums in Teton Village, synthetic shake has become an increasingly popular choice for owners seeking the warmth of traditional mountain architecture without the ongoing maintenance requirements of natural wood.
Preserving the Character of Cody HouseOne of the primary goals of this project was preserving the classic alpine aesthetic that makes Cody House such a recognizable part of Teton Village.
The DaVinci shake profile closely replicates the depth, texture, and shadow lines of genuine cedar while providing a modern roofing system engineered for decades of reliable performance. The finished roof blends seamlessly with the surrounding mountain environment and enhances the property's long-term value.

Teton Club Roof Replacement | Premium Synthetic Shake Roofing in Teton Village, Wyoming

The Teton Club, located at the base of the iconic Aerial Tram in Teton Village, Wyoming, is one of the premier luxury properties in Jackson Hole. With year-round exposure to heavy mountain snowfall, intense ultraviolet radiation, high winds, and an increasingly significant wildfire threat, the existing roof had reached the point where replacement was the most practical long-term solution.
MD Roofing was selected to complete this comprehensive reroofing project, replacing the aging roofing system with a premium synthetic shake roof designed to preserve the property's classic mountain character while providing modern performance and superior fire protection.
Preserving Mountain Architecture with Modern Roofing TechnologyOne of the biggest challenges on luxury mountain properties is balancing aesthetics with durability. Traditional cedar shake roofs have long been associated with the rustic architecture of Jackson Hole, but today's building codes, insurance requirements, and wildfire concerns have changed the way homeowners and property managers approach roofing.
For this project, MD Roofing installed a high-performance synthetic shake roofing system that faithfully recreates the natural beauty and texture of hand-split cedar while delivering dramatically improved performance.
The finished roof maintains the timeless appearance expected of a premier mountain resort while eliminating many of the maintenance concerns associated with natural wood products.
Why Synthetic Shake Was the Right ChoiceSynthetic shake roofing has become one of the most sought-after roofing systems for luxury homes and commercial properties throughout Jackson Hole and Teton County.
Benefits include:
  • Class A fire rating—the highest level of fire protection available.
  • Exceptional resistance to wind, hail, moisture, and freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Reduced maintenance compared to natural cedar shakes.
  • Long service life in harsh mountain climates.
  • Consistent appearance without splitting, warping, or premature deterioration.
  • Lightweight construction that reduces structural loading compared to many traditional roofing materials.
As wildfire risk continues to increase throughout the Rocky Mountain West, many property owners are choosing Class A roofing systems to help protect their investment while potentially qualifying for insurance incentives offered by some carriers.
Built for the Demands of Jackson Hole's ClimateRoofs in Jackson Hole experience some of the most demanding weather conditions in the country. Heavy snow accumulation, ice dams, extreme temperature swings, and prolonged UV exposure all place tremendous stress on roofing materials.
Every aspect of this reroof was completed with long-term performance in mind. Proper flashing, ventilation, underlayment installation, and attention to critical roof transitions are just as important as the roofing material itself.
At MD Roofing, we believe that premium roofing systems deserve premium installation practices. Our crews focus on craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail from the first tear-off through the final inspection.
Careful Planning and Professional ExecutionProjects of this scale require careful coordination to minimize disruption while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Our team managed the complete removal of the existing roofing system, inspected the roof deck, completed any necessary substrate preparation, and installed the new synthetic shake system according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
Throughout the project, protecting the surrounding property and maintaining a clean, organized jobsite remained a top priority.
A Roof Designed for Decades of PerformanceThe completed roof not only enhances the appearance of the Teton Club but also provides long-term protection against the demanding conditions unique to northwest Wyoming.
By combining premium materials with experienced craftsmanship, this reroof represents the type of investment that protects both property value and peace of mind for years to come.

Crystal Springs Lodge Roof Replacement in Teton Village | Cedur Synthetic Shake Roofing

Premium Synthetic Shake Installation at Crystal Springs Lodge
Nestled in the heart of Teton Village beneath the towering peaks of the Tetons, Crystal Springs Lodge is a luxury mountain property where architectural character and long-term durability are equally important. When it came time to replace the aging roof, the objective was clear: preserve the timeless appearance of natural cedar shake while upgrading to a roofing system capable of standing up to Wyoming's demanding climate.
MD Roofing was proud to complete the installation of a premium Cedur® synthetic shake roofing system, providing the lodge with exceptional weather protection, outstanding curb appeal, and a Class A fire-rated roofing solution designed for decades of reliable performance.
Why Cedur Synthetic Shake?
Mountain properties present unique challenges that conventional roofing materials often struggle to withstand. Snow loads, ice dams, intense ultraviolet exposure, high winds, and dramatic seasonal temperature swings all contribute to the aging of a roof. Cedur synthetic shake was selected because it combines the authentic appearance of hand-split cedar with the advantages of advanced composite materials. Each shake features realistic grain patterns and natural color variation, creating a roof that blends beautifully with the surrounding alpine landscape.  Unlike traditional cedar, Cedur roofing will not split, rot, curl, or become a food source for insects, making it an excellent choice for homeowners and property managers seeking beauty with reduced maintenance.
Designed for the Modern Mountain Environment
As wildfire concerns continue to grow throughout the Mountain West, many property owners are choosing roofing systems that provide enhanced fire protection without sacrificing architectural style. The Cedur roofing system installed at Crystal Springs Lodge achieves a Class A fire rating when installed as part of an approved roofing assembly, offering one of the highest levels of fire resistance available. This provides added confidence for property owners while helping preserve the classic mountain aesthetic that defines many luxury homes and lodges throughout Teton Village.
Attention to Every Detail
Every premium roofing project deserves careful planning and expert craftsmanship. Before installation began, the existing roofing materials were removed, the roof deck was thoroughly inspected, and all necessary preparation was completed to ensure the new roofing system would perform exactly as intended. Our experienced crews paid close attention to roof transitions, flashing details, valleys, ventilation, and waterproofing—critical components that often determine the long-term success of a roof in Jackson Hole's harsh mountain climate.

From start to finish, the project was completed with an emphasis on quality workmanship, jobsite safety, and protecting the surrounding property.
Built to Perform Through Every SeasonA roof in Teton Village must perform through every type of weather imaginable—from deep winter snowstorms and ice accumulation to summer thunderstorms, high winds, and intense mountain sun. Cedur synthetic shake provides outstanding durability while maintaining its rich appearance year after year. Its lightweight design places less stress on the structure than many traditional roofing materials, while its engineered construction resists many of the issues commonly associated with natural wood roofing.
The result is a roofing system that enhances both the appearance and long-term value of the property.

Historic Pocatello Mansion Restoration

The Standrod Mansion is an iconic piece of history in Pocatello, Idaho. Built in 1902, the mansion is known for its French Renaissance Revival architecture, castle-like exterior, and occasional paranormal activity. In 2018, Barbara Magin purchased the mansion and began work to restore it to its original grandeur.

MD Roofing was tasked with restoring the aging cedar-shingle roof, as it was leaking into the attic and seeping through the floors of the house. We stripped the entire roof, installed new cedar shingles to match its original character, and finished it with copper trim work, giving the new roof a glossy gold sheen and overall antique look.
