Historic Pocatello Mansion Restoration
The Standrod Mansion is an iconic piece of history in Pocatello, Idaho. Built in 1902, the mansion is known for its French Renaissance Revival architecture, castle-like exterior, and occasional paranormal activity. In 2018, Barbara Magin purchased the mansion and began work to restore it to its original grandeur.
MD Roofing was tasked with restoring the aging cedar-shingle roof, as it was leaking into the attic and seeping through the floors of the house. We stripped the entire roof, installed new cedar shingles to match its original character, and finished it with copper trim work, giving the new roof a glossy gold sheen and overall antique look.
